carcinogenic means it causes cancer (at least in lab animals). There are a number of chemicals that are suspected carcinogens. UV light from the sun is a known carcinogen (skin cancer). Carcinogens cause mutation of the DNA.

If the cancer that’s running all over your family is the exact same cancer, then you just have to be diligent in your check ups. If it’s random types of cancers, the best you can do is eat healthy, exercise healthy, be happy and hope for the best.

What health risks are associated with fruit shortages in a person’s diet?
I have oral allergy syndrome, so I can not eat fruit. Yes, ALL fruit. That sucks, doesn’t it? Anyway, I am writing a bio essay and we had to analyze our diet. I have to write what health risks I am prone to because of certain aspects of my diet. I can not think of any health risks, but I am thinking that maybe my lack of fruit consumption could lead to something, but what?
Also note: I eat a lot of vegetables, I just don’t eat fruit.

Fruits give you vital vitamins, like vitamin C. You should have blood work done and speak to a health professional inorder to figure out what types of vitamin supplements you need to take to stay healthy. I do know that you will lack some important nutrients that will keep you from processing certain foods.

A warning that the new swine flu jab is linked to a deadly nerve disease has been sent by the Government to senior neurologists in a confidential letter.
The letter from the Health Protection Agency, the official body that oversees public health, has been leaked to The Mail on Sunday, leading to demands to know why the information has not been given to the public before the vaccination of millions of people, including children, begins.
It tells the neurologists that they must be alert for an increase in a brain disorder called Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS), which could be triggered by the vaccine.
GBS attacks the lining of the nerves, causing paralysis and inability to breathe, and can be fatal.

What are the dangers in using my health insurance to get medication for someone else?
My boyfriend neeeeds to quit smoking, he smokes like more than a pack a day! But! He doesnt have health insurance, and i have great health insurance through my job. Are there any potential dangers to getting him a prescription for chantix on my health insurance ? (i socially smoke so it wouldnt be a huge stretch at the docs office) Could it increase my insurance costs to admit that i am a "smoker" to insurers?
what country are you in? i am in australia and i work for a private health insurer. If you do live in Australia or a country that has a similar system, it does not increase the cost of your private health insurance if you are a smoker.
if you are however caught for claiming medication that is not for yourself under your private health insurance, your health cover will be terminated and you run the risk of legal action.
